What is the material of the chemical drum?

Chemical drums are made of high density polyethylene, also known as low-pressure polyethylene, or HDPE. This material is not very good for welding with plastic welding torches. It can be scalded with iron sheet or with high-pressure polyethylene (LDPE) or EVA plastic. Moreover, this material is soft and tough. At present, there is no glue for this material to be bonded, and there is no glue in the world. If it has to be bonded, it can be scalded with high-pressure polyethylene (LDPE) or EVA plastic. HDPE (High Density Polyethylene):
HDPE is a kind of thermoplastic resin with high crystallinity and non-polarity. The original HDPE is milky white in appearance and translucent in slight section. PE has excellent resistance to most domestic and industrial chemicals. Certain types of chemicals can cause chemical corrosion, such as corrosive oxidants (concentrated nitric acid), aromatic hydrocarbons (xylene) and halogenated hydrocarbons (carbon tetrachloride).
The polymer does not absorb moisture and has good water vapor resistance, and can be used for packaging purposes. HDPE has good electrical properties, especially high dielectric strength, which makes it very suitable for wires and cables. Medium to high molecular weight grades have excellent impact resistance, even at room temperature and - 40F low temperature.
Chemical plastic drums are made of hollow low low-pressure polyethylene. There are many grades of this kind of raw materials. The uses and quality of these materials vary from place to place. Factories often choose suitable grades according to product requirements.
